1. I spend way too much fucking time playing minecraft.
2. I can go like 3 days without sleeping.
3. My Hero Unleashed has a serious balancing issue.
While I'd love to go into more detail about my first two observations, I want to take some time to focus on the third one. When I say that this server has a balancing issue, I expect most of you to understand what I mean. Certain quirks in-game are too powerful to have a fair fight against, there is an extreme power disparity when it comes to leveling, and this server practically DEPENDS on pay-to-win. First, I'd like to address the issue of overpowered quirks. In the anime, there's obviously a difference in power between quirks. For example, there is no way in hell Mineta could beat out someone like Todoroki or Bakugou. There is nothing wrong with having a difference in power between quirks on the server, but it becomes an issue when you consider the fact that some quirks can TAKE OUT A PERSON'S ENTIRE HEALTH IN UNDER A MINUTE. Like, I get that there are quirks in the series that have the potential to kill someone instantaneously, but for a Minecraft server that just doesn't work. This imbalance makes it impossible for regular people without a busted quirk, money, or time to grind up their levels to get anywhere on the server. My next two points directly relate to this fact.
Now tell me. Why does a person's health go from like 50-ish hearts at level 99 to literally DOUBLE that at one level above it? It's almost as if the server rewards people that do *literally* the easiest and most menial thing that you could possibly do in Minecraft instead of letting people with skill flourish. IT'S ALMOST AS IF THE SERVER IS TELLING US "Damn, you killed a million mobs? Here, take a hundred hearts. You don't need to get good with your quirk at all" and if you think about it, you really DON'T have to get good with your quirk at all. A player at level 100 could theoretically just keep resetting to Citizen to do Student exams and beat up every new Citizen there with their bare fists. Not only does this power disparity make things unfair, but it kills the fun after level 100 knowing that you could probably just flatten any new player and the only other people you can REALLY fight are players who've also reached level 100.
My last issue with the server is the fact that it's unapologetically pay-to-win. I understand, being a former server owner myself, that sometimes you need add more shit to the buy shop that people will be interested in so you can pay your server's hosting fees. I myself had custom Magic Spells for sale on a server I owned a few years back. However, there is no way in HELL you can tell me that it's fair to be able to get to a high level, get to the HIGHEST Hero/Villain rank on the server instantly, AND become more powerful than any of your peers will ever be just because you snagged a few hundred dollars from mommy's credit card. Like DAMN, could it not be more unfair, discouraging, and disappointing to find out as a noob that no matter how hard you try or what quirk you have, you will never be as good as some 13 year old kid with rich parents that bought Beyond and a Custom Quirk. Like, with that knowledge, WHAT'S THE POINT IN EVEN TRYING? I've literally been here for a month and a half (I know that's not a long long time but bear with me) grinding my ass off to get level 100's broken fucking heart count, and training with an OP quirk under Crate Quirk standards. And yet, I still cannot hold a candle to anyone that has enough money to buy a rank and a Custom. At this point, skill and effort aren't even factors anymore. There are some Customs that can fucking kill you before you can even think to make your first move. It's idiotic, and ruins the fun for people that don't have the money for that, along with the rest of the things I've already mentioned.
In conclusion, I'm probably eventually just gonna leave this server for another server that's hopefully more balanced and welcoming to people that don't drop bank on Minecraft of all things. Please consider everything I've said and hopefully staff will make some changes. Deep down though, I know they probably won't. Half the people on staff fit everything I've described and benefit from all this shit.
Good night.
Yours truly, d_lirious.
(P.S. for any of you that are quick to assume that I'm just some angry n00b, I'm a level 100 hero with Blood Manip. I've seen all this fuckery firsthand, even with my own quirk. I've experienced everything I've talked about)
